What it is

A small free plugin that lets you add your own CSS styling to the WordPress admin area — the dashboard you see when you log in. Your public website is untouched; this only changes how the back end looks for the people who work in it.

Why you'd want it

  • Hide clutter — tuck away dashboard widgets and notices you never use.
  • Make things bigger — larger fonts and buttons if you find the admin area hard to read.
  • Brand it — match the dashboard to your company colors, handy when clients or staff log in.

Built with safety in mind

The plugin accepts only CSS — anything that isn't styling (like script tags) is stripped out before it's saved — and only administrators can change the settings. It's a single settings screen under Settings → Custom Admin CSS: paste your CSS, save, refresh.

How to get it

Free on our website, with the full source code shown right on the page so you can see exactly what it does: Custom Admin CSS plugin.

Not sure what CSS to write? If we host your site, open a support ticket and tell us what you'd like to change about your dashboard — a few lines of CSS is usually all it takes, and we're happy to write them.
