AI Image Metadata by Dependent Media writes the alt text, titles, captions, and descriptions for your entire Media Library — automatically, using Claude (Anthropic) vision. Do one image from the attachment panel with review-before-save, or select hundreds and run a background batch with a live progress bar. Choose a voice (SEO-descriptive, Editorial, or Minimal), pick your model, and keep existing metadata untouched with "only fill empty fields." Bring your own Anthropic API key — no middleman, no monthly fee: you pay Anthropic only for what you use (typically a few cents to a dollar for a whole library), and your key is stored encrypted. Images are downscaled before sending, so requests stay fast and cheap, and your original files are never modified. Includes a WP-CLI command, a connection test with cost estimate, and an AI-status column in the Media list. Supports JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF.
