We buy books of hosting & website clients.
Winding down your web design or hosting business? Your client list is worth real money — one to two years of its monthly revenue, in cash, for something most people hand off for free. We've hosted and maintained small-business websites since 2010. Your clients land somewhere with a real support desk; you get paid for what you built.
What we pay
12 to 24 times the monthly recurring revenue. Example: 25 clients averaging $50/month is $1,250 MRR — a book like that typically sells for $15,000–$30,000, depending on:
| Worth more | Worth less |
|---|---|
| Clients on written agreements or auto-billing | Handshake deals, invoiced when you remember |
| Long tenure — clients who've been with you years | High turnover or brand-new clients |
| Standard WordPress on one host | Mixed platforms, heavy custom code |
| You'll introduce us warmly and stay reachable a month or two | You disappear as soon as the deal closes — no introductions, no handover |
How you get paid
25–30% in cash at closing. The rest monthly over 12 months, based on revenue that actually arrives from the transferred clients. If a client leaves, that client stops counting — which is exactly why we can afford to pay fairly for the ones who stay. You know better than anyone whether your clients are loyal.
The process
- One conversation. Roughly how many clients, and what they pay.
- One hour of paperwork. Client list, monthly totals, billing method. Offer usually within days.
- Closing. You send each client a short introduction (we draft it in your voice), hand over credentials, collect the closing payment.
- We do every migration. Clients keep their sites, email, and prices. You stay loosely reachable for 30–60 days. Done.
Not fully winding down?
Several designers use us as their back end instead of selling: you keep the client and the creative work, we take hosting, updates, and the 11pm "site is down" calls — wholesale from $45/site, you charge whatever you like. We don't sell design, so we're never a threat to your relationships. Start with one arrangement and shift to the other whenever it suits you.
No obligation, and we'll tell you honestly if your book is worth more to someone else.
