DM TV Remote Privacy Policy

DM TV Remote is a Mac app by Dependent Media that lets you control an Apple TV from your Mac.
What the app collects
Nothing. DM TV Remote has no account and contains no analytics or advertising. Dependent Media receives no data from the app.
Your network
The app finds the Apple TVs on your local network and connects directly to the one you choose, to send the buttons you press, the text you type for the TV, and requests such as the list of apps to open. These connections stay on your local network and are encrypted. The app makes no connections to the internet.
What stays on your Mac
When you pair with an Apple TV, the app keeps the pairing keys in your Mac’s keychain so it can reconnect without a new code, and remembers which Apple TV you last used. Choose Forget in the app’s settings to remove a pairing.

DM Warp Privacy Policy

DM Warp is made by Dependent Media. It is a drawing app for iPad and Mac. This policy explains what the app stores, what leaves your device, and what we can see.
The short version
DM Warp collects nothing. There is no account to create, no sign-in, and no server. The app contains no networking code at all — it cannot send your drawings anywhere, because it has no way to send anything anywhere. We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
1. What is stored on your device
Your drawings, saved as DM Warp documents, live in the app’s own storage or wherever you choose to put them in the Files app. The app also keeps a working copy of whatever you have open, so a crash or a force-quit does not lose it.
Alongside that, the app remembers your preferences: which brushes you have pinned, the colour assigned to each brush, which brushes you used recently, and your canvas settings. Any brush sets you import stay on your device.
All of this stays on your device. None of it is uploaded. Deleting the app removes it.
2. Files you open
When you open an image or import a brush set, you pick the file yourself through the system file picker. The app can only read the file you chose. It does not browse your photo library or your documents, and it does not ask for access to either.
3. What leaves your device
Only what you deliberately export. Saving a document or exporting a PNG puts the file where you tell the system to put it. That is the only way anything moves, and it is always something you started.
4. Children
DM Warp is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data whatsoever, there is nothing for us to gather from a child using it, and no way for us to identify any user.
5. Changes to this policy
If the app ever gains a feature that sends data anywhere, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described plainly rather than buried.

DM Read Aloud Privacy Policy

DM Read Aloud is a Mac app by Dependent Media that reads text aloud using the speech voices built into macOS.
What the app collects
Nothing. DM Read Aloud has no account, makes no network connections, and contains no analytics or advertising.
What stays on your Mac
The text the app reads — replies handed to it by Claude Code, text you paste, or files you open — is stored only in the app’s own history on your Mac, so you can listen again. You can delete any entry or clear the history from the app’s settings. The app never sends this text anywhere.
If you set up the Claude Code hook, the app writes a small script and its hook settings into your ~/.claude folder, with your permission, so that Claude Code can hand it replies. It reads nothing else from that folder.
Speech
Speech is produced by macOS on your Mac. No audio or text is sent to Dependent Media or to any third party.

DM Scanner 3D Privacy Policy

DM Scanner 3D is made by Dependent Media. It is an app for making 3D models of places, objects and faces with an iPhone or iPad. This policy explains what the app stores, what leaves your device, and what we can see.
We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
The short version
Everything DM Scanner 3D makes stays on your device. There is no account, no sign-in and no server. We never receive your scans, and we cannot see them. A scan leaves your device only when you choose to share it.
1. Data stored only on your device
Scans are saved in the app’s private storage: the 3D model files, a small preview picture, and the working data the app needs to reopen a scan later. None of it is uploaded to us. Deleting a scan in the app, or deleting the app, removes it.
2. Face data
The Scan a face mode uses the TrueDepth camera and Apple’s ARKit face tracking. It captures the shape of a face, depth measurements, and a photo texture, for one purpose only: to build the 3D model you asked for.
- Face data is processed on your device and stored only inside the app, as the scan you saved.
- It is never sent to Dependent Media or to any third party.
- It is never used to identify or authenticate anyone, and never for advertising, marketing, profiling or analytics.
- It is kept until you delete the scan. Deleting the app deletes every scan.
Only scan people who have agreed to it. If you scan a child, you are responsible for having a parent’s or guardian’s permission first.
3. Sharing
You can send a scan to another device or app with the share sheet, for example by AirDrop, or find it in the Files app. That happens only when you choose it. Once a file has been shared, what happens to it is governed by wherever you sent it.

DM Track Privacy Policy

DM Track is made by Dependent Media. It is software for timing and recording track & field meets. This policy explains what the apps store, what leaves your device, and what we can see. It covers DM Track on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV, and the DM Track Spectator app for people attending a meet.
We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
The short version
DM Track handles data in three separate tiers. Which ones apply depends entirely on how you use it.

If you only use the app to time races on one device, nothing leaves that device and we never receive any of it.
1. Data stored only on your device
The Solo Timer records video and race times to the app’s private storage — video and audio from your camera and microphone, the race clock, and the finish times you record. This data stays on your device. It is not uploaded to us. Deleting a race in the app, or deleting the app, removes it.
2. Data shared on your local network
When you run a meet with more than one device (phones, an iPad, a Mac, an Apple TV), those devices talk directly to each other over your local Wi-Fi. They exchange camera video, race timing, results, and roster information for the meet in progress. This traffic goes between your own devices. It does not pass through our servers and we cannot see it.
3. Data stored on our servers (Cloud Sync)
Cloud Sync is off by default. If a coach or administrator turns it on, the following is stored on our server (sync.dependentmedia.com) so it can be shared between that team’s own devices and people:
- Team/organization name and settings
- Meets and events — schedules, heats, results, and recorded marks
- Athlete records — first and last name, display name, bib number, team, group, event entries, availability, and performance marks
- Athlete photos, where a coach has added them
- Coach notes and feedback about an athlete
- Account information for coaches and staff — email address, and the sign-in tokens used to log in
- Device records — an identifier, device type, and name for each of your devices that connects, so they can be paired and kept in sync
- Venue and camera positions — coordinates for where cameras were placed, used to show camera locations on a venue map
- Basic operational logs needed to run the service
Who can see it
- Coaches and staff you invite to your organization can see your organization’s data.
- Athletes given a read-only login can see only their own record — their events, marks, availability, and any feedback a coach has explicitly chosen to share. Coach-private notes are never shown to athletes.
- Dependent Media can access data on the server only as needed to operate, back up, secure, and support the service.
4. Athletes and minors
DM Track is used by schools, and the athletes in it are often minors. Athlete records are created and controlled by the coach, school, or organization using the app — not by the athletes themselves. That organization decides what is entered, who is invited, and what is shared. We act on their behalf as a service provider and do not use athlete information for any purpose other than providing the service.
We do not knowingly allow athlete records to be used for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose. If you are a parent or guardian and want an athlete’s information corrected or removed, contact the coach or school that runs the account, or contact us and we will assist them.
5. Device permissions

Declining any of these limits the related feature but does not prevent the app from running. Solo Timer needs only camera and microphone.
6. Retention and deletion
- On-device data stays until you delete it. The app automatically removes its oldest video recordings when its storage allowance fills; race times are kept.
- Cloud Sync data is kept while the organization’s account is active. A coach or administrator can delete athletes, meets, or the entire organization. You can also email us to request deletion of an account and its data.
7. Security
Connections to our server use HTTPS. Passwords and sign-in tokens are stored hashed, never in plain text. Access to an organization’s data requires a valid session for that organization. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect this information and we act promptly on any issue we discover.
8. Children’s privacy and schools
We do not offer DM Track directly to children. Accounts are created by coaches, schools, or organizations, who are responsible for obtaining any consent required by their institution or by law before entering an athlete’s information.
9. DM Track Spectator
DM Track Spectator is a separate free app for people attending a meet — parents, athletes, and fans. It is a viewer: it shows results and plays the announcer’s audio. It does not time races or record video.
There is no account and no sign-in. You join a meet by scanning the QR code posted at the track, or by typing the short code printed under it. We never ask for your name, email address, or phone number, and there is nothing to create or remember.
When you join, the app generates a random identifier for your device and exchanges the join code for a viewing pass. Our server stores that pass, the random device identifier, which meet it is for, and when it was created and last used. That record is not linked to you as a person — it identifies a device holding a pass, nothing more.
The camera is used only to read the QR code. The scan happens on your device. No photo is taken, stored, or sent to us. If you type the code instead, the app never asks for camera access at all.
Every join code has an expiry date set by the meet organizer, and can be switched off by them at any time. When a code expires or is revoked, the passes issued from it stop working. Deleting the app removes the pass and the random identifier from your device.
DM Track Spectator does not use your location, does not upload anything from your phone, and contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify account holders by email.

DM Flowchart Designer Privacy Policy

DM Flowchart Designer (“the App”) is developed by Joshua Jordan (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. It covers the App on Mac, iPad, and iPhone.
What We Collect
We collect nothing. We operate no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. Your documents, your recordings, and your transcripts are never sent to us, and we have no way to see them.
Two optional features do send data to other companies at your request, and they are described in full below. Neither routes through us.
Your Documents and Settings
Everything the App creates is stored on your device:
- Flowchart documents are saved as JSON files to locations you choose, including iCloud Drive if you put them there.
- Exported images (PNG) and documents (PDF, SVG) are saved to locations you choose.
- App preferences are stored locally using UserDefaults.
- Audio recordings you make in the App are stored in the App’s own folder on your device, and are included inside a document only if you turn that option on.
Audio Recording and Transcription
The App can record audio so it can transcribe a lecture, lesson, or meeting and turn what was said into a diagram. The microphone is used only while you are recording, and only after you grant permission.
Recordings are stored on your device. They are not uploaded to us and are never uploaded to any AI provider.
To turn a recording into text, the App uses Apple’s speech recognition, built into the operating system. By default this uses Apple’s speech service, which means the audio is sent to Apple to be recognised. Apple’s handling of that audio is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can avoid this entirely by turning on Transcribe on this device only in Settings, which keeps recognition on your device at some cost to accuracy.
Recording other people. Laws about recording conversations differ by state and country, and in some places every participant must consent. You are responsible for having permission to record.
AI Diagram Generation
The App can generate a flowchart from a text prompt or from a transcript. This feature is off until you supply your own API key for an AI provider, and nothing is ever sent until you ask for a diagram.
When you do, the App sends your prompt or transcript — and, where relevant, the contents of the diagram you are working on — directly from your device to the provider you chose, using your own account and your own key. Supported providers are Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and xAI. What each does with that text is governed by their own policy and by the terms of your account with them:
Your API key is stored in the Keychain on your device. It is sent only to the provider it belongs to, and never to us.
If you never enter a key, the App makes no network requests of any kind apart from the speech recognition described above.
No Analytics or Tracking
The App contains no analytics frameworks, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking technologies. We do not track your usage or behaviour, and no data is used to track you across apps or websites.
No Accounts
The App does not require you to create an account or give us any personal information. Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.
Children’s Privacy
We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

DM Mobile Location, Privacy Policy
Overview
DM Mobile Location ("the App") is developed by Dependent Media. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
Information We Collect
Location Data
The App collects your device's geographic location (latitude and longitude) only when you explicitly choose to:
- Tap on the map to set a location manually,
- Enable GPS mode to use your current location, or
- Enable "Auto-Update" in Settings, which sends your location to your website at a chosen interval — including when the App is in the background.
Auto-Update is off by default and only requests "Always" location permission after you explicitly enable it. When it is active, iOS displays a blue status bar indicator and the App shows a persistent green banner.
Address Information
When you set a location, the App uses Apple's geocoding service to look up the street address corresponding to that location.
Photos
You can optionally attach a photo to a location update. Photos can be chosen from your photo library or captured with the camera. Before upload, the photo is downscaled on your device and its EXIF metadata (including any GPS coordinates embedded by the camera at capture time) is stripped. The camera is only used when you explicitly tap "Take Photo"; the photo library is only accessed when you tap "Choose from Library." Neither is ever accessed in the background.
Information You Provide
- Truck / Location Name: The name identifying your truck or location on the map (e.g., "Taco Express")
- Labels: Optional text descriptions for a location (e.g., "Parked at Main & 5th")
- Custom Message: Optional text shown when your truck is marked "Closed"
- Share Template & Public Page URL: Optional text and URL used when you tap the in-app Share button
- API Credentials: Your WordPress website URL and API key, stored locally on your device
How We Use Your Information
Your data is used solely to:
- Display your position on the map within the App
- Send your location (and optional photo) to your own WordPress website when you tap "Update Location," or at your chosen interval if Auto-Update is enabled
- Collect or store your location, photos, or any other data on Dependent Media servers
- Share your data with any third parties
- Use your data for advertising or tracking
- Sell any of your personal information
- Include any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs in the App
Data Transmission
When you update your location, the following information is sent directly to the WordPress website URL you configured:
- Latitude and longitude coordinates
- Street address (if available)
- Truck / location name
- Your custom label (if provided)
- The photo you attached (if any), after downscale and EXIF stripping
- A stable per-device truck identifier, generated on first launch so the same phone always updates the same map pin
This data is transmitted using HTTPS encryption (when your endpoint URL uses https://) and is sent only to the server you specify. No third-party servers are involved.
Sharing From the App
When you tap the in-app Share button, iOS presents its native share sheet. Any data passed to the destination app (Messages, Mail, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) is controlled by iOS and that destination app. The App does not send this data to Dependent Media or to any other server on your behalf.
Data Storage
On Your Device
- Your API credentials, truck name, auto-update preferences, share template, and per-device truck identifier are stored locally on your device
- No location history is stored on your device
- Photos exist only in memory while you are composing an update; they are not saved to app storage
On Your Website
- Location data and photos are stored on your WordPress website
- Photos are saved to your WordPress Media Library
- You control this data through your WordPress admin panel
- Data retention is managed by you through your website
Beyond Your Website
If you configure the DM Mobile Location WordPress plugin to forward location updates to an outbound webhook (for example, to automatically post to Facebook via Zapier), those forwarded events flow from your WordPress site to the destination you choose. This processing happens on your infrastructure and is under your control; Dependent Media does not receive, store, or inspect that traffic.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following Apple frameworks:
- MapKit: To display maps (Apple's privacy policy applies)
- Core Location: To access GPS when you enable GPS mode or Auto-Update
- CLGeocoder: To convert coordinates to street addresses
- PhotosUI: To let you pick a photo from your photo library
- UIImagePickerController: To let you capture a photo with the camera
We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: View the location and photos you've sent through your WordPress admin panel
- Delete: Remove locations and photos through your WordPress admin panel
- Revoke: Disable location, camera, or photo library permissions in iOS Settings at any time
- Clear: Tap "Clear Settings" in the App to remove your stored credentials and preferences
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy within the App or on our website.
